This scholarship honors our much-loved Assitant Regional Advisor who died on September 12, 2006. Nancy loved the spring retreat so her scholarship provides tuition, room, and board for the retreat weekend to a Western Pennsylvania member of SCBWI.

To apply send THREE COPIES of the following:

• The five manuscript pages you would choose to read to an editor
• A statement of no more than 250 words describing how you and your writing will benefit from the weekend
• A short paragraph explaining your financial need for the scholarship.

YOUR NAME MUST NOT APPEAR ON ANY OF THE COPIES but be sure to include a cover sheet with your name, phone number and email address.

Send the above to Pat Easton, 135 Orchard Drive, McMurray, PA. 15317.  All applications must be received by February 5, 2012

The applications will be reduced to five finalists.  Each application will be given a number and then a team of three WPASCBWI members will assess the anonymous applications. INCOMPLETE OR LATE ENTRIES WILL BE DISQUALIFIED. The winner will be announced March 5, 2012. If the winner has already paid a deposit, it will be refunded.
