Nancy Alberts Scholarship

The Nancy Alberts Scholarship is a financial-need based contest in honor and memory of our friend and author Nancy Alberts. The scholarship involves submitting five pages of your work, a statement describing how you will benefit from the weekend, and a paragraph explaining your financial need. The winner of this scholarship receives an expense paid spring retreat.

Send three copies each of the following:

• The five manuscript pages you would choose to read to the editor.
• A statement of no more than 250 words describing how you and your writing will benefit from the weekend.
• A short paragraph explaining your financial need for the scholarship.

Your name, address, phone, and e–mail address should appear ONLY on a cover page.

The applications will be reduced to five finalists. Each application will be given a number and then a team of three WPASCBWI members will assess the anonymous applications.
